On Saturday, I participated in the all new Printer Faire at the Hellmann Creative Center in Covington, KY. Local print organizations, including Tiger Lily Press where I print, set up demonstrations and showed worked. I shared a table with a printmaker pal. We showed and sold our prints. I had my produce motif towels and aprons as well as pattern bags. It always surprises me what people focus on. Usually it's either the produce motifs or the patterns, but not both. Fascinating.
The great attraction of the event was the steamroller printing. A small highway paving roller (from Art's Rental, ha!), came to print large prints and, later, lots of t-shirts using pre-cut lino designs.
It was a scorching 91 degrees, but a really fun day.
